AQUAMARINE CHECKUP

Okay admittedly I forgot to post on this blog because I got lazy about drawing assets so they're going to be like this for a while. ANYWAY I'm working on a visual novel for Aquamarine called "Aquamarine: Doctor's Order" about Dr Lou Ambrose starting at the facility. I spoke about it on my main blog but I have to update this blog too. I'll be posting updates on here.

And in terms of updates: I've finished writing 2/4 appointments (chapters) for the visual novel. Lou will be interviewing each character for every chapter, hence "appointments". I've barely thought about art, but I've started on sprites just a bit. Planned out poses and expressions and CGs. Buut writing comes first and I just so happen to write at snail's pace.

(The first picture was me practicing drawing everyone's faces since I'm a little rusty but it ended up being a good size/style for sprites... The final sprites will look similar, I hope.)

(Plus they're height accurate ;-D) (Sadly I don't think the sprites can be height accurate in the VN because the tallest and shortest character have too much of a gap... so it looks odd lol.)

This is the test Nina I drew which happened to scale nicely for sprites so I've been using her to scale everyone else... I wanted to draw some of her limbs exposed. I gave her a kinder expression as a joke but I ended up rather attached to it... so Nina is kind here. (It's obviously a facade though...)

I have a really bad tendency to screenshot my work and then work over the screenshot so pictures end up like 400 pixels wide... Which is why Nina's sprite is so tiny here when I tested out some ren.py 2 weeks ago. The actual size would take up more space.

(No idea who that special guest is. That's really scary.)

This is a doodle I did inspired by a Victoria Beckham Queen of Quick and Dry Humor compilation on youtube. Posh's pixie is really stylish and I immediately imagined Lou with a Posh-ish pixie. Honestly Lou could get this hair but her spider ponytail is too iconic to chop off.
