 MECHANIC RIVALRY ☆~

You're probably wondering what being a "mechanic" at Aquamarine actually entails. Generally, mechanics do maintenance work on the facility to ensure that operations run smoothly.  It's more accurate to call them engineers, but they're formally known as "mechanics". The profession is quite broad and covers many different specialities, so one mechanic may focus on planning and designing buildings and another may work with computers and software.

Atlas' specialities are vehicles and machinery, while Nina is the leading mechanic on the facility, meaning that she oversees projects and manages other mechanics. Nina's specialty lies in machinery, but has a wide range of knowledge of different specialties. As a result, Atlas and Nina have a decent overlap and tend to butt heads.

They're both regarded as geniuses but they can never agree on anything. Nina is harsh on her fellow mechanics but ultimately her leadership skills are so excellent that her cruelty becomes an afterthought. The results of Nina's leadership are undeniable.

For whatever reason, it seems like Nina particularly criticizes Atlas the most, but they can't quite place why. Their rivalry isn't exclusive to work- they're natural enemies.
