Recently, Atlas' position as "one-eye-covered-beauty" has been threatened by their one and only enemy......... NINA AMBROSE. It was totally unintentional, but the two of them have become foils. And I suppose being foils includes having similar bangs. Nina's bangs were actually originally slanted straight bangs, but I changed it into a swoop because I was inspired by a friend's art trade drawing of her.

(This blog is starting off strong with Atlas and Nina... Don't let it fool you- they absolutely hate each other.)

It only recently occurred to me that Atlas was designed with that hairstyle because my FFXIV character, Roid, had a similar hairstyle at the time and Roid was probably the only thing I really drew from 2022-2024... So if you squint really hard you can think of Atlas as a Roid derivative. Frankly, the concepts of mechanics also stem from Roid because he's a machinist....

(Pictured: Roid ...... Ew...! Ew! Ew!! Joking. Not really. Anyway this is one of the only good drawings I have of his emo haircut... I still really struggle at drawing him >_>)

This begs the question of if Roid will ever be a part of Aquamarine and my answer:
probably not....

I feel like these two worlds should not collide... Plus I have way too many smarty pants characters in Aquamarine. Tough luck Roid!
